Throughout the Piedmont Triad, entrepreneurs and salespeople are
finding that the leads and referrals gained through focused networking
shorten their sales cycle and connect to excellent business opportunities.
Business Women of the Triad is
a group of vibrant women, working to grow their own businesses and
engaged in promoting the businesses of other members. Recognized
as Greensboro’s oldest networking group for women, Network USA launched
in 1986, was renamed BUSINESS WOMEN OF THE TRIAD in 2005, and has
grown to include approximately 35 members. Each member has an exclusive
business slot, providing anon-competitive environment for the promotion
of her business.
Meetings
Business Women of the Triad meets
weekly on Thursday mornings at 8:00 a.m. at the Greensboro Airport
Marriott. If the Guilford County Schools are closed or delayed due
to inclement weather, our meetings will not be held.
Agenda
Each meeting opens with a brief (30 second) introduction and “commercial”
presented by each member. Guests are also introduced at this time.
Following a short networking break, we have a 10-minute presentation
done by a group member. The speaker shares in-depth information
about her business, the types of leads that are most beneficial
to her and she answers questions. Following the speaker, leads of
a general or specific nature are presented to individuals or to
the group. After announcements, the meeting is adjourned between
9:00 and 9:15
Guests
Interested guests are welcome to attend up to three meetings with
no cost or obligation, to experience the group’s networking environment
and to meet other members.
Considerations for Membership
We welcome businesswomen who are engaged in business-tobusiness
endeavors as entrepreneurs or salespeople, as long as their business
does not compete with or overlap the business of a current member.
Membership is limited to 40, but slots open as members make career
changes or move to other locations.
Dues include a one-time initiation fee of $20 and yearly dues of
$180. Members may elect to pay dues on a quarterly basis - $45 per
quarter. Quarterly dues are due by January 6th, April 1st, July
1st and October 1st. New members joining at other times of the year
pay an initiation fee and prorated dues for the remainder of the
year.
Members are also asked to give careful consideration to their ability
to attend meetings on a regular basis. The strength of the group
depends on our ability to share leads and referrals every week.
Benefits of Membership
In addition to weekly meetings where general and specific leads
are shared, Business Women of the Triad
maintains a web site with members’ profiles. The web site serves
as a fast connection to information about members’ services & products,
and can be accessed at www.triadbizwomen.com or www.bizwomentriad.com.
Members may also use the site to update their contact information
and to share information with potential new members. Outside of
our meetings we frequently have “Professional Circles” to develop
one to one or small group synergies and we also hold social events.
